David L. Joiner is the founding principal of Joiner Financial.   

He started his financial career in 2001 at Merrill Lynch before moving into the insurance and financial industry as an agent with New York Life and financial consultant with Nylife Securities Inc.  During his time with New York Life Mr. Joiner qualified for MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) and upper council in his first few years with the company.  Mr. Joiner also partnered with Eagle Strategies (A Registered Investment Advisory Firm) and obtained his FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative), Series 63 (Securities Agent State Law), and Series 65 (Investment Adviser Law) licenses allowing him to operate in the mutual fund, security and investment advisory arena.  In late 2006 Mr. Joiner left New York Life and opted to independently advise his clients.  Moving to the private investment arena, focusing primarily on development and operations of investment funds, allowed Mr. Joiner to find his love for the business.  He has since founded and successfully managed three private investment funds.  David prides himself on his ability to invest client capital and successfully implement strategies that work, rather than just handing it off to various outside money managers.   

Mr. Joiner holds a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Accounting from Sonoma State University.  He lives in El Dorado Hills, CA with his wife and three daughters and enjoys fishing, hunting and the great outdoors.
